This exhibition is a series of digital art pieces by artist EIM, entitled “Astro Ma: The Cosmos Within.” This project took a total of 2 months to complete and marks EIM’s second AI / AR art release. The pieces (prints available by clicking here) were designed using a number of applications, including Midjourney, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Aero, and Apple’s X Code, as well as ARKit for deployment. In addition to the showcase here on Minkah Society, the AR experience can also be viewed on Apple devices.
EIM is a meticulous artist, taking great care to honor his ancestors and stay true to the concept of “Sankofa” in his work. This particular series is a reflection of his adoration of the feminine form specifically that of women who are normally seen as too fat or overweight. He explores the acceptance of Western social norms as it relates to beauty, which generally clash with the traditions of cultures all over the world – making a note to highlight the universally recognized goddess of fertility who is known around the world to have a full figured form. Each individual in the pieces he presents, represent an aspect of the goddess of fertility communing with the mysteries and expansiveness of outer space.
The pieces in this exhibition showcase EIM’s technical skills and artistic vision, using vibrant colors and bold compositions to bring his ideas to life. From abstract representations of celestial bodies to more realistic depictions of the female form, each piece offers a unique and thought-provoking perspective.
The process of creating these digital art pieces was no easy task. EIM spent countless hours perfecting each piece, using his knowledge of AI prompts and design software to craft truly original works of art. The result is an exhibition that is both visually stunning and intellectually engaging.
